About the job Senior Application Architect
Job Description: The Senior Application Architect will manage major projects involving the integration, implementation, and transition of large, complex systems. Responsibilities include designing and developing e-government solutions, maintaining infrastructure and backend applications, and providing hands-on expertise in web servers, gateways, application servers, and content management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage major IT projects.
- Design and develop e-government solutions.
- Maintain infrastructure and backend applications.
- Provide hands-on expertise in web servers, gateways, and application servers.
- Research new technologies and products.
- Write technical design documents and Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL, Shell Script, Mobile Computing, Unix/Linux Programming, Microsoft .NET, Cloud Computing, TCP/IP Networking, Web Services, Single Sign-on, Active Directory, and Oracle.
Work Locations:
- Work must be performed on-site at all DPSCS locations across the State, with potential authorization for remote work at the discretion of the Contract Monitor.
- Primary work locations include DPSCS Reisterstown Road Plaza Office Center (RPOC) in Baltimore, MD, and Maryland State Police (MSP) in Pikesville, MD.
- Secondary work locations include various DPSCS facilities across the State.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Science, Engineering, Information Management, or Computer Science. A Masters degree is preferred.
