This position will be reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications

Responsibilities

Thought Leadership

  • Drive the firms content management strategy, together with Sr. Director Knowledge, Marketing and Communications, and Senior Editor.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of the ME thought leadership pipeline, alignment of internal and external stakeholders, and oversight of day-to-day management of the thought leadership capability, including process, editorial development, content packaging, and execution.
  • Establish standards and processes to ensure high quality, clarity, and consistency of content to support business objectives.
  • Ensure understanding of our clients business, competitive landscape, and marketing objectives to define business problems and apply actionable insights and recommendations clearly.
  • Serve as the point of contact for seniors/authors on content strategy, creation, and distribution strategies and tactics.
  • Liaise with PwC Middle East marketing teams on content development and campaigns, and scout for thought leadership opportunities across the network.

Brand & Relationships

  • Conceptualize and execute innovative brand partnerships on both regional and
    international scales to reinforce market impact and credibility.
  • Manage partner interactions to coordinate joint activities and ensure that the objectives of the partnership are met.
  • Serve as the primary POC for the different partnerships, negotiate and draft agreements, and manage the relationship effectively.
  • External Communications
    Conceptualize and implement strategic PR and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop marketing plans to determine the optimal mix of marketing tools required to market our thought leadership and support marketing campaigns.
  • Recommend novel formats for our thought leadership that promote share of voice.
  • Provide relevant insights based on a deep understanding of regional press to tailor global thought leadership for regional dissemination.
  • Maximize brand presence on various communication channels and ensure brand consistency in all efforts.
  • Analyze coverage data to develop insightful share of voice reports at the firm and practice levels. Provide insights and recommendations for partner review and discussion.

Internal Communications

  • Design and implement strategic and innovative internal communications initiatives.
  • Oversee the execution of an internal communications plan to drive internal engagement and alignment to our business objectives.
  • Manage the firms internal communications content across all platforms/channels in line with strategic and operational requirements.
    Oversee the development and execution of an internal communications platform/channel.
  • Forge strong relationships with key internal stakeholders (Strategy& and PwC), both regionally and globally, to ensure internal comms alignment with any ongoing business or people strategy communication plans.
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments (Social Impact, Recruiting, Diversity & Inclusion, BOMs, etc.) to understand their requirements and provide essential support for internal communications and marketing priorities.
  • Coordinate with MarkComs seniors on internal communications and any external communications relating to corporate strategy, reputation, and crisis management.

Corporate & External Events

  • Lead the planning and organization of corporate events and related initiatives.
  • Explore thought-provoking senior-level events and join forces with select flagship events as a knowledge partner.
  • Manage the firms speaking opportunities and overall representation and branding requirements at conferences.

Risk, Quality, and Independence

  • Manage our comms policies, RQ&I requests and third-party engagements.

  • Manage thought leadership MoUs and agreements.

  • Serve as the focal point on all risk, quality and independence matters related to thought leadership and marketing.

Branding

  • Oversee the ideation and activation of innovative marketing and branding programs across all areas (Recruiting/Social Impact/ People Experience, etc.).
  • Serve as the brand guardian in the region and oversee branding needs for all events.
  • Work with regional and global corporate marketing on branding initiatives.
    Maximize marketing and branding opportunities in conferences and events.

Leadership/Managerial Skills

  • Manage and develop the brand and corporate communications function to ensure an engaged and high-performing team.
  • Share expertise, articulate expectations, and clarify roles and responsibilities of the function team members.
  • Maintain oversight of staff workload and resources, and effectively manage external requests.
  • Manage and direct the workload, performance and deliverables of the PR and editorial agencies.
  • Work closely with practice heads and seniors to understand their needs and goals. 
  • Manage the Brand and Corporate Communications budget.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration/ Marketing/ Communication/ Public Relations
  • 10+ years of relevant experience

Skills

  • Strong track record of positioning and packaging content for internal and external clients
  • Strong leader and strategic thinker with the ability to provide timely strategic and tactical guidance
  • Ability to coordinate internal and external resources and nurture cross-functional relationships
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written
  • Reporting skills and ability to compile and synthesize data
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills
  • Very good command of the English language, Arabic is a big plus
  • Excellent teamwork skills, able to manage upwards and work well with other team members
  • Proven track record in marketing and public relations filed with strong relationships to ME journalists, in particular in tier one media
