SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Senior Design Officer creates and delivers design concepts, high-quality 3D renderings, and precise technical documentation that embody Swiss Butter's brand identity across global markets.

Beyond production work, this role takes ownership of assigned projects from concept to handover, contributes to the development of the brand's design standards, and coordinates directly with contractors, suppliers, and international design consultants.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Design Concept & 3D Visualization
  • Develop design concepts for new and existing restaurant locations in collaboration with the Design Manager.
  • Deliver high-quality, photorealistic 3D renderings that accurately reflect approved concepts and brand identity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and design innovations to enhance the restaurant's visual appeal and presentation impact.
  1. Technical Drawings & BIM Documentation
  • Produce complete, coordinated design packages in Revit, including plans, elevations, sections, facades, door schedules, and finishing details, to guide construction and fit-out.
  • Build and maintain Revit families, templates, and project standards to support the department's BIM workflow.
  • Produce or adapt AutoCAD drawings where required by consultants or authorities.
  • Maintain clear, organized, and up-to-date design documentation for all projects.
  1. Project Execution & Site Coordination
  • Lead assigned projects from concept to handover, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure design intent is met on site.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify details, and resolve design-related issues promptly.
  • Monitor construction progress against design specifications and project timelines, and escalate risks early.
  1. Brand Standards & Compliance
  • Apply Swiss Butter's design guidelines consistently across all locations.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the brand design kit and architectural design standards to ensure consistency across markets.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to local building codes, health, safety, and environmental regulations in each market.
  1. Material Selection & Supplier Coordination
  • Source and propose materials, finishes, and furniture that align with the brand's identity and enhance the dining experience.
  • Ensure material choices meet durability, cost, and environmental impact criteria.
  • Support supplier negotiations and maintain updated material libraries and specifications.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and design integrity.
  1. Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with operations, marketing, and construction teams to integrate functional and aesthetic requirements.
  • Present design concepts and project updates clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute creative ideas and provide clear, timely communication within the project team.
  1. Efficiency & Time Management
  • Manage priorities effectively across multiple simultaneous projects to deliver high-quality outputs within set deadlines.
  • Flag potential delays or risks proactively and support the team in meeting project timelines.
  1. Additional Responsibilities & Reporting
  • Undertake responsibilities assigned by the Direct Supervisor.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

  • 90% approval rate on design concepts, 3D renderings, and visualizations that align with Swiss Butter's brand standards.
  • 95% accuracy rate in Revit and AutoCAD drawings and related documentation.
  • 100% compliance with Swiss Butter's brand guidelines and local building codes, health, and safety standards.
  • 95% of assigned projects and design packages are delivered on time within established project schedules.
  • 100% of design-related issues are resolved during project execution within a maximum timeframe of 48 hours.
  • 100% of project files, models, and drawings are maintained organized and up to date.
  • Maintain a low budget variance on assigned projects against approved estimates.
  • 90% or more demonstrate effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners throughout project phases.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in hospitality or F&B interior design, with a portfolio of completed projects.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Revit, including modeling, documentation, family creation, and project setup, is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and strong skills in 3D rendering and visualization software (3ds Max, V-Ray, SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, or similar).
  • Proven experience managing projects independently from concept to handover.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and site coordination.
  • Experience coordinating with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
