As a Engineering project manager Responsible for creation of engineering project plans negotiated with internal engineering service functions, to meet engineering project milestones and deliverables.
Engineering project team member who serves as key interface for specific sub-system from concept design through final system launch
Work with internal and external cross-functional and cross-regional resources and stakeholders in the execution of the development of new sub-system based on requirements, and supports the integration of those new components into the organization's portfolio of products
Support dyno test environment and lead both internal and customer meetings
Responsible to release engineering sub-systems, involving multiple engineering disciplines & including technical integrity of the subsystem with adherence to the internal design standards, engineering project & system requirements, timely completion of deliverables, and within engineering project budget.
Define Subsystem performance requirement, derive and allocate component requirements, including Actuation mechanism, Clutch, Differential, Electrical, Controls, SW, Control Modules, defines component interfaces, analysis, balancing design margin and risk across components.
Identify / support in & Breakdown of Subsystem requirements to component groups, including Actuation mechanism, Clutch, Differential, Electrical, Controls & distinguish Pass through requirements, conduct design trade-offs & Integration.
Manage subsystem requirements & Change Management, Creating test cases & traceability to requirements with support of Requirements engineer.
Analyze / Support engineering sub-system requirements, develop and execute engineering documentation and work plans to complete all project deliverables, including but not limited to DFMEA; DFM/DFA; GD&T dimension schemes; tolerance stacks; material selection; bills of materials (BoMs); drawings; models; technical specifications; test and analysis plans (DVPs); risk assessments in Risk register; engineering reports; issues and problem resolutions
Qualifications:
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, differentials, clutches and motor actuator subsystems
Experience with Calibration for axle modules on dyno
Experience with dyno and system test and release procedures in automotive, or related industry
Capable to understand embedded control software and communicate software changes
Experience in systems qualification and validation engineering
Ability to structure, moderate and promote collaboration with international teams, negotiate with customer, support global organization, and understanding with working in global multicultural teams.
Strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and innovative thinking
Strong leadership skills and highly self-motivated
Good written / verbal communication and presentation skills (solid English second language skill)
Capable of working independently in an organized and structured fashion
Comfortable with testing activities on dynos.
Hands on experience with Agile development methods (SCRUM, Kanban, etc.)
Understands various highly integrated electric systems which include electric motors, gearboxes, and inverter. Key experience in electric axles and electric drive units preferred.
