Job Summary:
The Strategy & Reliability Assistant Manager is responsible for leading and driving reliability engineering, maintenance strategy development, and asset management initiatives across site operations. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, asset lifecycle management, and continuous improvement through the application of reliability methodologies, maintenance best practices, and data-driven decision making.
Responsibilites:
- Lead and implement Reliability Engineering methodologies, including FMEA/FMECA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and failure mode identification to improve asset performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Develop, review, and optimize maintenance strategies, including Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive/Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), and corrective maintenance programs.
- Drive reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and asset lifecycle management practices aligned with company standards.
- Develop, review, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI) for maintenance and engineering activities.
- Analyze maintenance and reliability data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, and translate findings into actionable plans.
- Lead, coach, and develop Reliability Engineers and analysts under supervision.
- Manage and drive continuous improvement projects and system enhancement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with corporate asset management standards, ISO 9001, and other relevant regulations.
Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree (S1) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Maintenance, Reliability, or Engineering, with at least 3 years in a Superintendent or equivalent leadership role, preferably within mining, heavy equipment, or processing plant environments.
- Strong understanding of asset management frameworks, reliability engineering, and maintenance best practices.
- Proficient in CMMS/EAM systems (PRONTO, SAP, Maximo, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis, reporting, and management presentations.
- Strong project management capability with a continuous improvement mindset.
