Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic Fixed Plant Engineer to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the reliability, safety, and performance of fixed plant mechanical assets across Merdeka sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Asset Management standard process across Merdeka sites to support site asset maintenance and operation for effective overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage annual Departmental safety implementation
    aligned with the overall Merdeka Safety performance goal.
  • Collaborate with Site Operations team on equipment selection in term of all equipment purchases based on guiding principles for equipment selection by standardizing equipment across all Merdeka sites without compromising productivity.
  • Ensure all significant mechanical equipment damage involving maintenance issues are investigated and recorded.
  • Collaborate with all departments in the Merdeka HO and
    suppliers/contractors on other issues that directly affect maintenance business to ensure they are resolved and integrated in the most effective and efficient way.
  • Manage the implementation of routine management processes in maintenance area by utilizing available management tools to ensure synergies in business process among all maintenance areas, Operation, SCM, Asset Management, Finance and other resources.
  • Identify improvement requirement per site to ensure maintenance business process, Mechanical system and role holder capacity compliance.
  • Ensure that the assets disposal, including how each asset is disposed after the end of the economic life, is carried out according to procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining industry
  • Strong knowledge of asset management, maintenance management, CMMS, project management and vendor performance management
  • Strong knowledge of Maintenance software (SAP, PRONTO, Qlikview, Optimum, instrumentations, etc), Maintenance Repair Operation management
  • Experience with Mining equipment, Plant equipment, Ballmill, Crusher, Kilns, Furnace, Compressors, Pumps, Hydraulics and Pneumatics
  • Ability to interpret and articulate technical drawings, P&IDs, PFDs, and relevant industry standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in English
