Position: NPI (New Product Introduction) Technician
Location: Reading, PA
Shift Timings: 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM plus OT
Job Type: Full-Time

About The Company: a major manufacturer in Reading, PA is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join their Quality Team. Our close-knit, cross-functional group is driven by excellence and teamwork. The NPI (New Product Introduction) Technician ensures that our finished products meet both customer specifications and our internal expectations. This role is an entry point to the Reading Quality Team, where we strive to consistently improve our processes and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow and adhere to quality processes.
  • Utilize advanced assembly knowledge and problem-solving skills related to all AMAT products.
  • Read and interpret drawings, wire lists, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Install pre-labeled harnesses using work instructions.
  • Perform basic visual inspections, verify proper torque, and apply proper torque marks as needed.
  • Fill out quality checklists and maintain the inspection database.
  • Respond to production line calls for quality concerns or needs.
  • Identify deficiencies, record them accurately, and request rework when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve problems.
  • Follow up with appropriate channels when concerns are identified.

Qualifications:

  • 1 - 3 years of strong and positive AMAT Flex and Flow building experience.
  • Effective communication skills in English; Spanish/English bilingual is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Detail-oriented and solution-focused.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and calls.
  • Follow 6S practices daily.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must perform physical activities such as reaching, sitting, twisting, lifting, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to alternate between sitting and standing positions.
  • Office work involving the use of a computer.
  • Visual acuity for detailed inspections.

  • Fast-paced production environment.
  • Frequent communication with production and quality teams.
