Salary:  $100,880.00 to $115,003.00

A regional hospital in Moab, UT is actively seeking a dedicated Outpatient Nursing Services Manager (OPNS) to join a vibrant team! This key role will manage the OPNS staff (2-3 employees) and oversee the entire program. The position combines managerial responsibilities with clinical oversight and administrative on-call support across hospital departments. We seek an individual passionate about patient care and equally adept at administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations concerning outpatient infusion and nursing treatments.
  • Program Development and Outreach:
    • Promote outpatient treatment and foster relationships with internal/external providers to build department referrals.
    • Develop programs for Outpatient Nursing Services, encompassing Oncology, Infusion, and Wound Care.
  • Clinical Oversight and Education:
    • Stay updated on best practices in Oncology, Infusion, and Wound Care nursing, and oversee staff training.
    • Conduct patient and family education regarding care plans and post-discharge programs.
  • Financial Management and Operational Oversight:
    • Manage financial aspects, including monthly departmental finances and annual budgetary planning (operational and capital).

Job Requirements:

  • Experience and Education:
    • 2+ years of Oncology Nursing experience REQUIRED.
    • ONS certification required.
    • Bachelor of Science RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
    • Licensure to practice as an RN in the State of Utah.
  • Certifications and Skills:
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
    • Proficiency in electronic health records.
    • Previous supervisory experience and/or leadership roles preferred.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
    • Emotionally mature and capable of managing stressful situations calmly.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certified Wound Care Nurse preferred.
  • Infusion certification preferred.
