Overview:
Join our team as a dedicated local truck driver, hauling Walmart grocery and general commodity freight on a dedicated route. Responsibilities:
- Haul Walmart grocery and general commodity freight to Birmingham, Atlanta, and South GA.
- Slip seat operation, willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk up to a quarter mile, and stand excessively.
- Live unload and 100% no-touch freight.
Schedule:
- Home daily.
- Average of 1,200-1,800 miles per week.
- No set days off, determined by hours left to work and volume.
Compensation:
- Mileage and stop pay structure.
- CPM rate based on experience: $0.46-$0.59 (5-day week), $0.49-$0.63 (6-day week).
- Stop pay: $10 for all stops (5-day week), $10 for first stop, $15 for others (6-day week).
- Short haul pay: $40 for runs under 51 miles.
- Average weekly pay: $800-$1,200 (5-day week), $1,300-$1,550 (6-day week).
Training:
- Based on verifiable experience and road test.
Qualifications for Trainees:
- Must hold a Class A CDL from a 120-hour school.
Qualifications for Experienced Drivers:
- Minimum 6 months OTR experience in the last 12 months or 12 months OTR experience in the last 5 years.
- Must live within 40 miles of Opelika, AL.

Equipment:
- Late-model Freightliner and Volvo tractors (average 1.5 years old).
- Mostly 10 speeds.
- 1800 watt inverters in tractors.
- Tractors governed at 63 mph on the pedal, 65 mph on cruise, with a pass smart option of 67 mph.
- Front-facing cameras (event only).
- Riders and pets allowed on most accounts.
Orientation:
- No more than 2 days long.
- Lodging provided (single occupancy for experienced drivers).
- Meals and travel discussed during the hiring process.
- Pay: $300 upon completion of orientation and hiring.
