Position Overview

The Internal Audit Supervisor is responsible for executing and supervising audit engagements, ensuring compliance with internal audit standards, and supporting the Internal Audit Manager in strengthening internal controls, risk management, and governance processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Audit planning and execution
    1. Support the implementation of the annual audit plan as approved by the Board of Commissioners (BOC).
    2. Lead and perform end-to-end audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, documentation, reporting, and follow-up.
    3. Ensure audit activities comply with applicable standards such as IPPF (International Professional Practices Framework) and GIAS (Global Internal Audit Standards).
    4. Ensure audit methodologies, tools, and procedures are consistently applied.
  2. Regulatory Compliance and Process Control
    1. Evaluate business processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
    2. Identify inefficiencies, control weaknesses, and operational risks.
    3. Provide practical and value-added recommendations to improve internal controls, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
    4. Support the development and enhancement of internal policies, P3W, and control frameworks.
  3. Fraud Risk Management
    1. Assist in identifying fraud risk areas and monitoring key risk indicators and red flags.
    2. Perform audit procedures focusing on high-risk and fraud-prone areas.
    3. Support investigations and fact-finding reviews when required.
    4. Recommend prevention and detection controls to mitigate fraud, bribery, and unethical practices.
  4. Reporting and Communication
    1. Prepare clear, well-structured audit reports outlining findings, root causes, risk impacts, and actionable recommendations.
    2. Communicate audit observations and recommendations to auditees in a constructive and professional manner.
    3. Support the Internal Audit Manager in preparing reports for the Chief Audit Executive and Audit Committee
    4. Participate in meetings with Business Unit Heads and Management to discuss audit results and action plans.
    5. Coordinate with Risk & Corporate Governance functions to ensure alignment in risk and assurance activities.
  5. Follow Up and Continuous Improvement
    1. Monitor and track the implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
    2. Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
    3. Identify recurring issues and recommend sustainable solutions.
    4. Stay updated with industry practices, regulatory changes, and internal audit methodologies.
  6. Team Leadership and Capability Development
    1. Coach, mentor, and equip team with knowledge, skills and tools necessary to work effectively, efficiently and meet performance target.
  7. Corporate Culture Alignment
    1. Uphold integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality in all audit activities.
    2. Promote and encourage the adoption of corporate values and culture within the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
    3. Act as a role model in maintaining high ethical standards and professional conduct.



Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree in a related field would be a plus.
  • Willing to relocate to Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia.
  • A Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Internal Audit Supervisor or leading audit engagement.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in internal auditing.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, with a proven ability to analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Familiarity with business processes, financial analysis, and control evaluation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
