Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customs Clearance Coordinator to oversee and manage daily customs clearance operations. This role ensures that all import and export shipments comply with local and international regulatory requirements and are processed efficiently.

The successful candidate will lead a team of customs clearance professionals, manage documentation accuracy, resolve operational issues, and drive continuous process improvements to ensure smooth and compliant customs operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Compliance Assurance

  • Ensure all customs clearance activities comply with local and international regulations, including tariffs, trade agreements, and import/export laws.

Customs Documentation

  • Oversee the preparation and review of customs documentation, including import/export declarations, invoices, and certificates of origin.

  • Ensure documentation accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.

Issue Resolution

  • Address and resolve issues or discrepancies related to customs clearance.

  • Manage customs inspections, shipment delays, and regulatory inquiries efficiently.

Team Supervision

  • Lead, supervise, and develop the customs clearance team.

  • Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to ensure strong performance and adherence to procedures.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics related to customs clearance operations.

  • Prepare reports and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Process Management & Improvement

  • Implement and monitor customs clearance processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to optimize operations.



Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in customs clearance or logistics.

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader role.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage customs clearance operations and ensure regulatory compliance.

Leadership

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team effectively.

Technical Proficiency

  • Experience with customs management systems and logistics software.

Analytical Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor performance, interpret data, and implement improvements.

Regulatory Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of local and international customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.

  • Strong understanding of customs clearance procedures and best practices for managing import and export shipments.
