Position Overview

Responsible for ensuring that ship inspections are carried out regularly and that findings from both internal and external audits are properly closed out, in order to ensure that the vessels comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Execute vessel inspections based on the plan set by the Vessel Inspection & QSHE Team, and ensure that every vessel undergoes a minimum of two inspections per year in compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Provide inspection reports for corrective action and follow-up on findings identified during the inspections.
  • Work closely with the Ship Manager / Superintendent to ensure that all findings are addressed and closed within the set target timeline.
  • Collaborate with the Vessel Inspection & QSHE Team to periodically review and update the inspection checklists to ensure continual improvement.
  • Monitor, follow up, and revise parts of the SOP as needed, and ensure that the procedures are consistently followed in daily operation.



Requirements

  • Experienced as Chief Officer onboard vessels
  • Experienced in the same role for at least 1 year
  • Holding a Certificate of Competency (CoC) Class 1
  • Preferably candidate from container ship experience
  • Possess strong motivation to work in a shore‑based position
  • Willing to be placed at the Head Office, Surabaya
