Location: Baghdad, Iraq.
Years of experience: 5 years relevant experience.
Project duration: 3-4 months.
Language Requirements: Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken).
The ideal candidate will support the collection, validation, and analysis of data required for effective power system planning and forecasting.
Qualifications
- University degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in power system planning and analysis.
- Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English are required.
- Proficiency in Power System Modeling: Demonstrated experience in computer-based modeling of power systems, including high-voltage transmission networks (400kV, 132kV, and 33kV busbars) and constraint analysis.
- Expertise in Network Expansion Planning: Strong ability to model and evaluate network expansion scenarios in alignment with generation plans and forecasted demand growth using industry-standard tools.
- Analytical and Simulation Skills: Proven capability to conduct detailed simulations and technical analyses to support power system planning and operational decision-making.
- Technical Writing and Reporting: Skilled in preparing clear and comprehensive technical documentation and reports based on modeling results and simulations.
- Collaborative Approach: Effective team player with experience working alongside engineers, planners, and key stakeholders to ensure cohesive and goal-aligned project execution.
- Commitment to Continuous Learning: Up-to-date knowledge of power system modeling tools and techniques, with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and process optimization.
