Domain Technical Lead
We are seeking an experienced and driven Domain Technical Lead (DTL) to lead guide and inspiring a team of Squad Technical Leads.
As a Domain Technical Lead (DTL), you will shape the future of tech solutions at scale, driving strategic engineering decisions that impact millions of users across Europe.
In this role, you will foster collaboration, champion a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure technical and engineering execution is aligned with company, domain and business objectives - delivering high-impact, user-centered products.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Strategy
Lead a team of STLs, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical direction.
Assist STLs in hiring, mentoring, and retaining top engineering talent.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and adoption of new
technologies.
Act as a bridge between the engineering team and company leadership.
Define and implement a long-term technology vision aligned with business objectives.
Define cross-company structure, roles, responsibilities, and leadership strategy.
Oversee domain-wide architecture to ensure scalability, security, and high
performance.
Optimize system performance and reliability through architectural improvements.
Balance team interests and needs with with business priorities when making technical decisions.
Identify risks early and lead the implementation of mitigation and contingency plans.
2. Delivery & Operations
Support and mentor STLs in applying Agile methodologies and DevOps principles to enhance development cycles, collaboration, and CI/CD pipelines.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of initiatives, ensuring alignment with company quality standards, best practices, budgets, and timelines.
Work closely with SCRM top management to align engineering initiatives with company objectives, fostering open communication and collaboration.
Maintain ongoing communication with Product Owners to align engineering initiatives, delivery timelines, and provide mentorship in leadership and management.
Build strong relationships with heads of engineering across domains to share knowledge, align best practices, and drive strategic initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all agreed-upon product security measures in coordination with the security team.
Mentor STLs in building robust monitoring solutions, incident response and performance optimization strategies for high system availability.
Define strategies with STLs to scale applications, infrastructure, and databases for business growth while ensuring seamless user experience.
3. Innovation & Growth
Design engineering strategies that support legal regulations and create scalable solutions for diverse user bases worldwide.
Provide technical expertise to ensure smooth integrations and risk mitigation in technology assessments and integrations.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate team performance, improve engineering efficiency, and ensure alignment with business goals.
Represent the company at industry conferences, tech forums, and panel discussions to showcase expertise, attract top talent, and establish the company as a thought leader.
Encourage engineers to contribute to open-source projects, enhancing the company's reputation in the tech community and fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Prioritize building user-friendly, high-performance products by gathering feedback from customers, iterating on solutions, and ensuring that engineering efforts align with customer needs and expectations.
Required Skills
Must have
Proven experience leading and mentoring technical leads and engineering teams.
Strong understanding of engineering procesess, software development processes, methodologies and best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Deep engineering and technical expertise
Experience with goal-setting, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Ability to manage risks and make data-driven decisions to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to align engieneering, technical execution with business objectives.
Proven experience leading leads and engineering teams.
The following skills would be a plus:
Knowledge of MarTech or experience in marketing and communication platforms.
Strong background in software engineering, DevOps, and system architecture at scale, serving millions of daily users.
Track record of hiring, mentoring, and growing high-performing teams.
