Our client is a leading motorcycle accessory distributor and is on the search for an experienced Territory Account Manager based in Perth. They're seeking a quality-driven Account Manager to join their Perth team. This on-road sales role will involve building their brands within the territory by supporting retail accounts with their day-to-day needs. Your goal will be to ensure the successful sell-through of their products, ultimately leading to sustainable and profitable outcomes for their retailers.
You will build strong relationships with their retailers by offering trustworthy, reliable, and outstanding service through sales excellence. Youll be expected to provide regular market updates and sales feedback on trends, product demands, customer service requirements, competitor strategies, and new product launches. Success in this role will come from maintaining a call schedule and sales plan, and continually updating dealer stocking requirements.
Successful Candidate Qualities:
- Passion for motorcycles (professionally or personally) - it is crucial that you are passionate about the sport and types of motorcycles.
- Proven experience in retail and wholesale, with a strong understanding of the importance of exceptional customer service.
- A deep-seated passion for achieving sales targets and creating win-win opportunities for customers.
- Strong organisation, time management, communication, and planning skills, along with proficiency in computer skills (intermediate level in Word, Excel, PPT, ERP, CRM, and B2B systems).
- A keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of data.
- A current driver's license.
- Flexibility with working hours and the willingness to travel as required by regional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Drive sales support through in-field calls with retailers, utilising a proven sales process and excellent customer service skills to build strong relationships grounded in product and market expertise.
- Implement product education and brand awareness programs with retailers and riders to drive sales initiatives.
- Execute visual merchandising displays for their products and maintain brand presence in stores.
- Align with their team to execute business strategies and plans with retailers that drive sustainable growth for their brands and products.
- Manage stock levels and ensure they meet retailer profiles, offer product options based on your extensive knowledge, and introduce new products to the market.
Retailer and Rider Relationships:
- Educate retail staff on the design, manufacture, and benefits of their products to better meet riders' needs. Collaborate with all shop employees (buyers, mechanics, sales staff, etc.) to foster supplier loyalty.
- Engage with the riding community by participating in retail functions, group rides, and other motorcycling events to promote their brands.
- Support demo experiences and other events within the market where required.
- Maintain open and effective communication with all stakeholders, including direct lines to key staff and decision-makers within their company and at retail locations.
- Regularly update the Head Office team on what support is needed for the day.
- Communicate product availability and new arrivals to retailers.
- Be an active member of a high-performing team, understanding and meeting the expectations set.
This position is remote based, however you will be required to be located in Perth as your client base will be in WA. This role will see you travelling around Metro Perth area for face to face meetings with your clients. This position offers a generous base salary + Company Vehicle + Commission structure.
