Business Development Manager - Residential Trade Division

Are you a dynamic professional with a passion for driving business growth? We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our client, a leading provider of high-quality fencing solutions. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding the Residential Trade Division, fostering key relationships, and contributing to sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Growth: Develop and execute strategies to expand the client base through various channels, including Trade Partners, Builders, landscape designers, and franchises.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts to ensure consistent and recurring orders.
  • Opportunity Exploration: Research and identify new business opportunities and revenue streams, reporting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Sales Cycle Leadership: Take ownership of the end-to-end sales cycle for newly acquired partnerships.
  • National Reach: Travel to interstate and regional areas to explore and capture sales opportunities, with a focus on building lasting customer relationships.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with the Residential Sales team to determine strategic approaches for sustainable revenue growth.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Autonomous Operation: Exercise a high level of autonomy in making decisions related to work priorities and workload management.
  • Collaboration: Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all managers and employees within the business.
  • Goal Achievement: Work collaboratively with the Residential Sales team to ensure department goals are met, meeting set KPIs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvement within the company and contribute to the implementation of quality policies and goals.
  • Customer Focus: Support customers, understand their brief, and provide the most appropriate solution options.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare estimates, quotations, proposals, and concept drawings within templates and guidelines.
  • Proactive Sales: Initiate sales, develop relationships, and promote our client's products through project and product advice.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the residential construction industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to interstate and regional areas.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach.
