We are currently looking for a Social Media Project Manager to join a huge tech client for a 1 year contract (with the possibility of extension / going permanent).
In this role, you will be the architect of the social media operational framework. Your mission is to design, implement, and govern the processes that allow the creative and strategy teams to thrive. You don't just manage tasks; you manage the system—optimizing workflows, managing substantial budgets, and ensuring that the high-level roadmap translates into seamless execution.
What you'll be doing:
- Operational Infrastructure: Design and maintain the overarching project management framework (as seen in the "Role Input" architecture) to ensure all social workstreams are standardized.
- Strategic Resource Planning: Analyze team capacity and workload balance; identify when to scale resources or bring in external vendors to meet roadmap demands.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the social media department budget, including vendor contracts, production costs, and tool subscriptions.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the strategic bridge between Social Media, Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure all "Documents & Artifacts" meet compliance and technical standards.
- Process Governance: Audit existing workflows to eliminate redundancies. You are responsible for the "Summary" view of the department—reporting on overall health, velocity, and ROI of operational efforts.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify macro-level risks to the social strategy (e.g., platform API changes, resource gaps) and develop contingency plans.
What you bring:
- Experience: 5+ years in Project Management, with a proven track record of managing marketing operations or large-scale digital departments.
- Certifications: PMP, Prince2, or Agile Scrum Master certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced experience in enterprise-level PM tools (Smartsheet, Airtable, or Jira) and the ability to build automated reporting dashboards.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the "big picture" while ensuring the details in the "Role Input" trackers remain accurate.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience presenting operational health and budget data to executive leadership.
