Role Purpose

Marou is looking for an experienced International Business Development Manager to join our team, based in Singapore. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding Marou's presence in international markets, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, agents, and vendors across global markets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Generate leads and cold-call prospective international partners, including distributors, agents, and vendors. 
  • Meet with customers/clients over video calls.
  • Understand your customers' needs and respond effectively with a plan to meet them.
  • Develop and maintain export databases, records, and reports
  • Monitor market trends, price benchmarks, competitor activities and customer feedback
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in export business, preferably in the F&B industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of international trade, export regulations, INCO terms, and logistics
  • Thorough knowledge of foreign trade regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of market data and dynamics
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel abroad to meet with clients and develop business relationships
  • Based in Singapore
