Role Purpose
Marou is looking for an experienced International Business Development Manager to join our team, based in Singapore. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding Marou's presence in international markets, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, agents, and vendors across global markets.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Generate leads and cold-call prospective international partners, including distributors, agents, and vendors.
- Meet with customers/clients over video calls.
- Understand your customers' needs and respond effectively with a plan to meet them.
- Develop and maintain export databases, records, and reports
- Monitor market trends, price benchmarks, competitor activities and customer feedback
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
Key Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in export business, preferably in the F&B industry.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade, export regulations, INCO terms, and logistics
- Thorough knowledge of foreign trade regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent knowledge of market data and dynamics
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel abroad to meet with clients and develop business relationships
- Based in Singapore
- Singaporean or PR-only.
