Education & Certification:

  • Diploma in Electronics/Electrical/Telecommunications (minimum).

Experience:

  • 56 years of experience in telecommunication and cabling system maintenance within the oil & gas industry.
  • Proven hands-on experience in:
    • Fiber optic installation, splicing, termination, and testing.
    • Copper cabling infrastructure.
    • Backbone cabling (inter-building & intra-building).
    • Supporting analog/digital voice, data, LAN, video, and low-voltage devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables (FOC) and copper cabling systems.
  • Maintain and support infrastructure cabling systems for:

Analog and digital voice communication systems.

Data networks and special LAN applications.

Video systems and low-voltage device integration.

  • Implement and maintain:

Inter-building backbone cabling systems (connecting different facilities/sites).

Intra-building backbone cabling systems (within buildings).

  • Conduct troubleshooting, fault analysis, and problem resolution of cabling systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of structured cabling and associated telecom systems.
  • Provide system backup, recovery, and OS reinstallation support for PC-based systems.
  • Manage and update SAP maintenance requests with accurate documentation.
  • Support system expansions, upgrades, and integration projects as required.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and safe work practices in all activities.
