Roles and Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers and Clusters.
  • Implement and manage server configurations, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Design, implement, and manage Linux-based infrastructure for SAP applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect both the Linux systems and SAP applications, including security patches, firewalls, and user access controls.
  • Provide basic support for SAP applications running on Linux systems, including troubleshooting issues, monitoring performance, and assisting SAP users.
  • A foundational understanding of SAP systems, components, and architecture.
  • Perform regular patching updates on the Linux servers thru Satellite Servers
  • Create and Maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls on Linux systems.
  • Create and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks and system administration processes.
  • Optimize system performance through resource allocation, performance tuning, and capacity planning, specifically for SAP workloads.
  • Hands on experience in Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Services, Redhat OpenShift)
  • Hands on experience in Subversion System
  • Hands on experience in managing Windows and VMWare Virtualization environments
  • Basic knowledge on Veritas Backup and Storage Infrastructures Administration
  • Willing to work in non-standard working hours as when required
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Maintain Documents of Operational, Configuration, or other Technical Procedures
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
  • Handle escalation of support issues where required as per defined procedures
  • Must be able to work independently to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, identify and isolate technical issues
