Defense Program Specialist - must be a Trainer
-Male preferred; Bi-lingual preferred
-10+ years extensive experience in defense programs, operations, or related fields.
- Masters degree or above in a relevant field (e.g., Defense Studies, Education, Instructional Design) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of defense policies, procedures, and regulations.
-Proven experience in instructional design and training delivery; Excellent presentation skills
-Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
-Experience in curriculum development of training programs for military and civilian personnel
-Knowledge (evidenced by training, education and experience) in the application of education theories
-Competent to implement, assess and evaluate adult learning; Ability to perform a learning needs analysis
-Capable to use and facilitate multifaceted modalities of learning including e-learning; high level written and oral communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
Job Purpose
- The Defense Programs Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering generic and specialized training programs specifically tailored to military and civilian personnel. This role requires extensive knowledge of military programs, operations, and procedures, as well as expertise in curriculum design and delivery. The Defense Programs Specialist will work closely with leadership and individuals to assess training needs, develop appropriate curriculum, and deliver engaging and effective training sessions
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver generic and specialized training programs specifically tailored to military and civilian personnel.
- Set up learning strategy and short- and long-term training plans specialized in general defense knowledge training
- Work closely with leadership and teams to assess training needs and identify performance gaps.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, defense personnel, and subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and up to date.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and developments in defense programs and training methodologies.
- Conduct thorough analysis of defense programs and operations to determine training requirements.
- Design and develop training materials and programs based on identified needs and develop a suite of short online training curriculum contents.
- Develop comprehensive training curricula, incorporating relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Create instructional materials, including presentations, handouts, and training manuals.
- Facilitate training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques, such as presentations, demonstrations, case studies, and simulations.
- Analyze training evaluation results and provide recommendations for program enhancements
