Undertake geological studies of the reservoirs to optimize field development plans. Conduct reservoir management activities. Participate in interdisciplinary reservoir study teams. Develop and mentor less experienced staff.

As and when required by CLIENT and to support international opportunities, the Snr. Geologist should be responsible for regional geological studies, reservoir geology including analysis and evaluation of reservoir data obtained from well cuttings, well logs, cores, sidewall cores, fluid samples. Estimate reservoir parameters and characteristics needed for reservoir modelling and implementation of development plan for conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Accountable for updated field maps static reservoir models and to provide optimum models for reservoir simulation and reservoir management purposes. Responsible for reviewing all non-operated area daily well reports and all geological data and ensuring best quality data is obtained

Required qualifications, experience and expertise:
  1. Minimum fifteen (15) years of work experience as Geologist. Must have undertaken field and reservoir studies and worked closely with geophysicists, petrophysicists, and reservoir engineers.
  2. Must have worked on mature producing fields where the integration of production data has been used to constrain their maps and interpretations.
  3. Must have carbonate reservoir experience and have applied carbonate sequence stratigraphy and advanced reservoir characterization concepts on previous projects.
  4. Demonstrable experience in oil and natural gas development projects in a wide range of sedimentary basins and depositional settings
  5. Must have practical hands on geosciences work within the field development function.
