About the job AV Engineer

As an Audio Visual System Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, setup, and commissioning of audiovisual systems in various projects, with a focus on meeting room solutions, background music systems, video wall setups etc., You will collaborate closely with project team, technicians, and clients to ensure that AV systems are installed and configured to meet specifications and client expectations. Your expertise will encompass a range of products from manufacturers such as Crestron, Bose, Shure, Extron, etc.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and develop AV system designs and plans.

2. Provide guidance and support to installation teams during the setup and installation of AV systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.

3. Configure and program AV equipment, including but not limited to control systems, audio processors, amplifiers, video processors, and network switches.

4. Conduct comprehensive testing of AV systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance meet project requirements and client expectations.

5. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that arise during installation and commissioning, providing timely and effective solutions.

6. Provide training to clients on the operation and maintenance of AV systems, ensuring they are equipped to use the systems effectively.

7. Create and maintain accurate documentation, including as-built drawings, system configurations, and user manuals.

8. Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve technical issues as needed.

9. Ensure that all work meets quality standards and adheres to relevant codes and regulations.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

2. Proven experience in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of audiovisual systems, with a focus on meeting room solutions, background music systems, and video walls.

3. Proficiency with AV equipment and software from manufacturers such as Crestron, Bose, Extron, etc.

4. Strong understanding of audiovisual signal flow, networking protocols, and control system programming.

5. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

6. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients..

7. Relevant certifications (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, InfoComm CTS) are a plus.
