Job Description Highlights:
- Lead the Electrical Engineering activities for North Field Expansion (NFXP) Offshore Project, ensuring technical requirements (e.g. project specifications, data sheets, etc.) fully comply with project deliverables and standardized processes and to provide support to NFE Offshore Engineering Manager ensuring all aspects are delivered to the highest standards.
- Provide extensive knowledge and understanding on the requirements of ECPI, communicating and efficiently translating Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the contractor. Collaborate across disciplines (including Process, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Pipeline, Jackets, Umbilical, HSSE and Risk), and monitor the progress and delivery of the engineering sections of the work scope.
- Supports NFE Offshore Engineering Manager in monitoring the contractors progress on delivery of the required documents in the Electrical Eng of Topsides and Pipeline disciplines.
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts with respect the disciplines involved in delivery of the Electrical Engineer related to Topsides and Pipelines Engineering and ensures endorsement of Process Technical deviations to Company specifications when required.
- Ensure compliance with management of change procedures for changes in the contractors design or deviations from the company directives.
- Liaise with vendors, sub-vendors, and sub-contractors regarding electrical engineering concerns as required. Determines acceptability of equipment, techniques, and methods.
- Participates in inspections at fabrication yards and witnesses installation & acceptances tests.
- Required Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent, other qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as Electrical Lead , in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry and having a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.
- Previous knowledge of Brownfield engineering and execution required.
