Position: Enterprise Solution Architect

Purpose

This role is responsible for leading, designing and development of Digital & Cloud transformation solutions offered to business customers.

The role will report to the Assistant Director Data Center and Cloud Product Development.

The Enterprise Solution Architect is a key role in the ICT Product Development Team that connects Customers with Sales and Technical Solutions unifying business and technical envisions. You will be part of a talented solution architects team that leads technical sales, and design infrastructure and application solutions, implementation to B2B customers in Qatar. You can work independently, or as a member of the team, in multi-cultural, agile and fast-paced environment and deliver business results.

You have a proven track record of building complex solutions for B2B customers within a Service Provider.

You are an experienced professional with strong technical skills across various technology domains including but not limited to:

  • Business and application solution architecture development
  • Private/Public/Hybrid cloud architecture design
  • Public cloud migration strategy and planning
  • Data Protection Services (Dell, Veeam, Commvault),
  • CDN services, Security solutions
  • Connectivity (Express Route, Broadband, VPN MPLS, SD WAN)
  • REST API with Microservices architecture.
  • Data architecture and pipelines.

Main responsibilities shall include:

  • End-to-end digital & cloud transformation journey design, development of enterprise solutions
  • Oversee the implementation of digital & cloud solutions, driving strategic planning, migration, and optimization of complex IT environments.
  • Design architecture of a solution to be proposed to the customer.
  • Design end-to-end transformation journey of a customer, from the legacy to the cutting edge.
  • Estimate the sizing and effort of the delivery team needed to implement the solution, setting the economics base line for the sales and delivery of the project.
  • Write down technical (HLD, LLD) and sales proposal documents that fit the designed solution into customer needs, including gathered data during the sales cycle and assumptions. This includes driving the solution feasibility (technical and costing) with Ooredoo Technology and Partners when required.
  • Take technical leadership of a project, making deep architecture decisions and working in the delivery as a member of the team.
  • Lead fluent verbal and written communication with customers, showing the value and relevance of your solution to their business.
  • Building hosting solutions based on Azure, AWS, GCP, VMware or Private clouds and technologies.
  • Interlock with Ooredoos Technology Partners leveraging the best potential of each company for the benefit of our customers.

Minimum Experience and Essential Knowledge:

  • Minimum 10 years of related work experience in Enterprise Solution Architect role for Service Provider
  • Strong business and application solution architecture
  • Strong skills in Azure and GCP Networking, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
  • Strong skills in Azure, GCP migrations for both, Lift & Shift and rehost/refactor strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of DC and Application Assessment strategies and tools with a previous hands-on experience
  • Strong knowledge on Application Modernization and Automation
  • Previous experience with Public, Azure, GCP, AWS, VMware technologies
  • Experience in providing solution for SAP and Oracle
  • Good know-how on network/connectivity, security, storage, and backup technologies to build solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Experience in leading and managing solutions for large bids, with experience in building cost models.
  • Excellent oral and written communications in English is a must, Arabic is considered a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure in dynamic and challenging environment and support to manage multiple parallel complex initiatives.
  • Ability to be structured, organized, and have strong time-management skills with proven track record on delivering results.

  • Familiarity with data privacy, and security standards that impact technology solutions in various sectors.

Education:

  • Min. Bachelor degree in IT/Telecom, Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Certifications:

  • Azure Certified Solution Architect.
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  • AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional is a plus.
  • Project Management certifications.
  • Additional certifications are a plus CISSP, Data Center CDCP/CDCE is a plus, ML, AI
