JOB DETAIL
Job Purpose
- Provide technical and engineering support, with limited supervision, to stakeholders for the tasks that have limited impact ensuring technical contribution in a field of rotating equipment engineering for the department.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s) - I
- Operates in an oil and gas industrial environment that requires working closely with operations, maintenance and other technical and engineering disciplines.
- Identifies threats to safe and reliable operation. Recommend solutions for low impact tasks and issues with limited support from senior engineers and supervisor.
- Requires to liaise with vendors and OEMs.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Support periodic health assessment surveillance of critical rotating equipment and report to stakeholders the analysis and recommendations for the deviations.
- Provide technical information and expertise to other disciplines, engineering and non-engineering, as per requirements.
- Assist operations and maintenance teams in making decisions about machinery issues in terms of scope and/or duration.
- Review rotating equipment problems, analyse the possible causes and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Review equipment and/or system changes for reliability or operational enhancements.
- Contribute to RCFAs, Risk Assessments, and providing inputs to find cause and eliminate or mitigate the risks.
- Assist in technical and operational investigations and evaluation, providing recommendations on the appropriate approach.
- Provide discipline support to projects by carrying out technical review of documents and analysing deviations.
- Assist projects by supporting machinery FAT, SAT, commissioning, and start-up.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience - I
- 4 years engineering experience in an oil and gas environment.
- Attain/maintain/acquired competence in accordance with the technical competence framework requirements.
