Qualifications

  • HND in Engineering or equivalent.

Knowledge and/or Experience

  • 5 years experience in relevant process operations with knowledge of process equipment functionality, piping codes, field mounted and DCS control and architecture, interlocks, and protective devices.

Technical and Business Skills

  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office computer graphics software. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and MS SharePoint.
  • Requires strong coordination, analytical and writing skills.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills required to give and receive information tactfully to a multicultural audience.

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Convert native files of P&IDs into MS Word compatible simplified drawings or familiarization sketches using CAD or similar software.

2. Produces work that adheres to established procedures, training policies and professional standards.

3. Draws plans and working drawings using applicable information from within and outside the assigned discipline.

4. Produces simplified drawings using colors and shapes to facilitate interpretation of data.

5. Modifies drawings issued by Engineering Department into procedure friendly formats and maintains backup copies of all materials produced.

6. Produces isometric sketches and simplified or combined drawings as needed to facilitate the learning of process loops.

7. Incorporates valve numbers on simplified drawings and maintains the database.

8. Works closely with Technical Writers and the Engineering & Project Group documentation section to ensure that changes to all P&IDs are properly captured and reflected within simplified drawings.
