JOB DETAIL

Job Purpose

Achieve an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workplace, protect company onshore assets and maintain high standards of safety through continuous improvement of comprehensive Safety Management Systems across Offshore Major Projects and  Projects in Offshore.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

1. Manage successful corporate personal safety systems and HSEQ KPI to ensure provides a safe workplace for its employees and contractors and support safe and reliable operations across Offshore Major Projects and II / III Projects in Offshore.

2. Support development of corporate safety policies across all and their implementation across Offshore Major Projects and II / III Projects in Offshore.

3. Ensure quality formal investigations into serious safety incidents to identify root causes and actions to prevent their reoccurrence.

4. Manage safety performance during projects Start Ups, ensuring all contractor implement an approved HSE plans that align with company standards to a achieve Incident and Injury Free (IIF) shutdowns.

5. Ensure HSEQ related approved ORP deliverables are properly tracked and closed as per the project milestone for Offshore Major Projects and II / III.

Key Job Accountabilities - II

6. Support internal and external audit processes and participate in formalizing of action plans, ensure implementation of agreed improvement action plans.

7. Manage HSE inspection programs and perform as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for personal safety related matters for across Offshore Major Projects and II / III Projects in Offshore.

8. Manage the training, developmental and succession plans for all assigned employees, consistent with companys staff retention and nationalisation policies to ensure that the safety function has sustainable capability and capacity to meet short-, medium- and longer term needs.

9. Review and improve company safety systems and processes to ensure Lessons Learned, update legislative requirements new international and standards and best practices are embedded and implemented.

10. Participate in Emergency Response, Crisis Management / Business Continuity responses as per the requirements of relevant  procedures. Ensure availability and fit for purpose condition of assigned safety equipment across Offshore Major Projects and Cat II / III Projects in Offshore.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science.

Experience Required

  • 10 years of technical experience related to the oil and gas or chemical manufacturing industries of which 3 years are in supervisory roles.
  • Experience in both onshore and offshore safety.
