Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
- Role includes managing safety training for multinational and multi-cultural personnel which includes approximately 5,800+ employees and approximately 50,000+ contractors annually, particularly personnel mobilizing for Major Projects.
- Managing multiple training centers along with offsite training within a highly fluctuating demand.
- Works independently and adheres to State SHE Regulations, Internationally recognized SHE standards and best practices.
- Support NFE training plans and as part of HSE&Q deliverables
Key Job Accountabilities - I
- Advise Major Projects and Subsurface on HSEQ training program to effectively deliver 20+ HSE&Q Training Courses for employees and contractors in multiple site locations (Ras Laffan, AKC, Doha, Offshore, Contractors camps).
- Supports the development of Major Projects and Subsurface SHE Training Plans (employees, APC contractors, capital projects, Shutdown contractors) based on business needs.
- Advise management on HSEQ training needs analysis for all stakeholders across the Company (employees, contractors, visitors, VIPs, capital projects, onshore and offshore) in conjunction with all departments.
- Advise management on SHE mandatory training courses to ensure they meet the highest standards and supports the development and introduction of new courses, ensuring they are aligned with the Company needs.
- Identifies and incorporates industry best practices, and makes enhancements to working methods to ensure continuous improvement of company safety culture.
- Advise line Management as required on all aspects of the implementation of Safety Training Policy and oversees the implementation of safety training strategy, goals and objectives.
- Completes Safety Training reports that identify compliance and highlights concerns to the Company Management (Group COOs).
- Audits external training service providers to ensure Company SHE training standards, requirements and effectiveness are met.
- Manage train the trainer program qualifying and utilizing contractor trainers to deliver certain training.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science or Safety discipline.
Knowledge and/or Experience
- 8 years of related experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory level in oil and gas or petrochemical industry with special emphasis on safety, training and operations.
