We're Hiring: Rover Operator

Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar

Type: Full-Time | Rotational Basis

Job Purpose

Operate assigned field units and equipment during project start-up and operations. Monitor performance, maintain safe operating conditions, and support maintenance, commissioning, and handover activities all in alignment with company procedures and safety policies.

️ Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain competency of operational procedures through training & rotation.
  2. Operate field equipment following safety and operating procedures
  3. Monitor and log operating parameters; report abnormalities.
  4. Prepare equipment for maintenance & recommission post-completion.
  5. Apply and enforce Permit to Work (PTW) requirements and field audits.
  6. Monitor site activities using unit surveillance, safety walks, audits, and observation cards.
  7. Respond as first-line emergency support to eliminate or minimize risks.
  8. Perform comprehensive shift handovers to ensure continuity.
  9. Collect process and special samples as scheduled by Shift Supervisor.
  10. Conduct low-voltage electrical isolation and de-isolation for equipment maintenance.
  11. Support System Completion activities:
  • Endorse check-sheets (B, C, E)
  • Participate in walkdowns
  • Verify and close punch lists
  • Support system start-up

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High School Graduate with Vocational Training
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in Oil & Gas field operations
  • Language: Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Skills:
    • Familiar with Permit to Work system
    • Basic computer and technical skills
    • Strong safety awareness
    • Operation Technical Competency Program experience
