QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Has bachelors degree in information technology or computer science or petroleum engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Strong Oil & Gas business and/or technical background in the area of E&P Information Technology Project
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing IT Subsurface capital project in Oil & Gas domain with the size more than USD 5M

Has PMI (Project Management Institute) credentials, or has master degree in IT Project Management

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The IT Project Manager Specialist responsibilities are:

  • Prepare project plan document (PCEP - Project Charter and Execution Plan/ MPEP/ Change Plan) including documentation plan, detailed project schedule on Project Online Portal and obtain approvals
  • Provide input for Technical/Cloud security Evaluation and ISRA as per Information Security guidelines and obtain necessary approvals
  • Prepare and/or coordinate with SMEs to ensure timely completion of all Project Deliverables including testing, training and documentation as per PCEP or MPEP.
  • Identify Project risks in advance and execute mitigation plan to avoid onset of issues
  • Update project status, risks, issues etc. on the portal and provide reports as and when required for Management reviews
  • Prepare and obtain approval for the Project Change Request (PCR) on timely basis
  • Upload approved documents and other related files to the respective sections in Project Workflow and initiate Gate approval request to PMO.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budget forecasts, AFE requests, accrual requests, and monitor expenditure to be aligned with the approved budget and phasing of expenditure.
  • Close-out project AFE's after expenditure on the project is completed

Close the Project, keep custody of physical documents (wherever applicable) and handover to Support focal point for future reference and audit purposes
