Educational Qualification

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering / Computer Science or related fields

Required Professional Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering / Computer Science with at least seven years post degree experience in the related field and industry
  • Proven experience of operating within a large enterprise
  • Broad knowledge of IT Solutions in Oil and Gas Industry
  • 5 years experience as IT Project Manager in a similar organization with at least 2 completed end to end projects of value US$ 500K or above
  • Knowledge and experience in all PMI knowledge areas (PMBOK) and gated project management methodology. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work positively with the project stakeholders
  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems

Key Responsibilities

  • - Concurrently manage multiple IT Projects following the applicable QGMS Processes and procedures
  • - Maintain documentation for Projects as per applicable procedures and templates and coordinate to obtain approvals wherever required
  • - Development and communication of the Project Plans, budget forecasts and schedules
  • - Manage key business and IT stakeholders
  • - Ensure On-time and on-budget delivery of projects
  • - Responsible for delivery of solutions to the required quality and standards
  • - Project team leadership and development
  • - Provide leadership to and supervise the activities of project personnel, including in-house resources and vendor-supplied consultants
  • - Interpret stated business requirements into the project plan and secure agreement from the project owner/end user as to the scope, budget and schedule
  • - Continuously monitor project progress in terms of the status of the plan and the budget, providing regular reports to the project owner and other stakeholders
  • - Anticipate, plan for and identify deviations from the project plan and keep all stakeholders informed
  • - Identify, log, analyze and manage potential and actual issues and risks, taking corrective action by dealing with the day-to-day issues and reviewing how more serious risks may impact the projects budget, completion date and quality. Where approved by the project owner, revise the timeline or resource requirements for the project.
  • - Work closely with IT PMO Team and contribute to the governance and monitoring of IT Portfolio and providing feedback and suggestions to IT PMO
  • - Supports and develops team members by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities
