Qualifications
Engineering Degree / HND/HNC or similar, however any qualification, technical or knowledge requirements may be waived through relevant work experience in lieu of sufficient years in the field of shorepull & trenching & pipeline installation & construction.
Knowledge and/or Experience
10 years experience in shorepull & trenching construction with at least 8 years demonstrated at a senior construction level in major capital pipeline & cable projects within the offshore oil and gas industry.
Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry
Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from variety of cultural backgrounds
Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the construction of Offshore LNG production facilities.
Good interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT
Key Accountabilities
(Duties include but not limited to)
Focal point at site, for promoting and implementing safety on construction site.Implement the safety observations reporting and monitoring.
Assist NFXP Offshore Head of shorepull & trenching Construction in executing Project responsibilities for the shorepull & trenching & relevant onshore scope of work.
Supervise & monitor all construction , liftings and trenching & shore pull related activities of the Project, to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
Effective coordination & communication for shorepull & trenching & related onshore site activities and provide technical support with contractor, quality, safety, planning and engineering.
Additionally, monitor daily progress & reporting for onshore construction, direct and supervise Contractor, ensuring strict adherence to procedures and any changes to scope. Provide technical support and supervision for microtunneling works, pipeline and cables installation.
Ensure & supervise the shorepull & trenching construction input into gate deliverables and site implementation.
Ensure all approved documents for shorepull & trenching & relevant onshore construction, shore pull, pipelay and cable lay are adhered to at site and any deviation is discussed in timely manner in accordance with the EPC contract requirements.
Ensure implementation of mitigation for construction aspects of the Risk Management Plan and verify the mitigation as agreed. Monitor respective shorepull & trenching & relevant onshore construction changes, and assist Head of Shorepull & Trenching Construction in justification for cost and schedule impacts, in accordance with the PMOC procedure.
