Position Brief

The Senior EAMS Engineer is responsible for providing assistance in the continuous development and implementation of Maximo EAMS within Drainage Networks Operation and Maintenance (DNO&M) and Roads Operation & Maintenance (ROMD) Departments and monitor Client and Contractor resources compliance with EAMS. Coordinate with Central Control Section to support the effective use of Maximo EAMS

Functional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Asset Management and participate in developing EAMS library Maintenance Plans (Preventative and Corrective) for uploading into Maximo EAMS
  • Develop and review improvements to functionality and associated business processes and workflows
  • Determine with the Asset Planners the correct Spares Ranging and Scaling for uploading into EAMS
  • Provide support to Assets Affairs staff in the Maximo software application, troubleshooting and end user training in use of Maximo EAMS
  • Identify and document current or new Maximo EAMS functionality based on improved or new Drainage business processes
  • Liaise with Central Control Section for planning and implementing software technology or system improvements and enhancements to Maximo EAMS
  • Collaborate with Central Control Section in supporting scheduled Maximo system maintenance and notify DNO&M/RMD staff of planned and emergency maintenance of the system
  • Keep up to date with current Maximo system improvements and future functionality that may benefit DNO&M
  • Represent DNO&M/RMD Maximo users at systems improvement meetings
  • Undertake site visit for verification of data and field inspection
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures in the workplace and comply to any new work instructions
  • Perform other duties / tasks as required.

Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree Engineering or higher-level qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Holder of Accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or similar would be an advantage
  • Holder of current/valid Qatar Driving License

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of cumulative experience in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of asset hierarchy, asset types and related asset attributes, for both above ground and below ground drainage assets
  • Knowledge of asset management standards and best practice (e.g. PAS55, ISO55000), as supported by Maximo EAMS
  • Knowledge of systems integration options with information systems such as GIS, CRMS, ERP, and SCADA
  • In Depth Knowledge of Maximo 6.X system with regard to operation, system administration and training
  • Able to interface with all organizational departments and at all levels, including HR and training, and executives
  • Strong organisational, presentation, and customer service skills.

  • Strong Stakeholder management skills ideally including work within the Middle East.
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders and staff at all levels within the Organisation
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is essential
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic is preferred
