Job Description:

Undertake reservoir engineering focus on EOR studies of the CLIENToilfields to optimize field development plans. Analyze reservoir and well performance data and develop reservoir surveillance programs for EOR screening studies, pilots and field wide applications. Conduct reservoir management activities. Participate in interdisciplinary reservoir study teams. Prepare detailed/integrated development plans for underdeveloped hydrocarbon resources. Develop and mentor less experienced staff

Required qualifications, experience and expertise:

  1. Minimum Twenty (20) years experience in reservoir engineering focus on EOR activities emphasizing large carbonate reservoirs.
  2. Strong background in EOR techniques such as WAG (miscible/ immiscible), CO2, surfactant, and polymer injection.
  3. Significant working experience in EOR pilot screening, design, monitoring and field wide EOR applications in matured fields
  4. Strong experience in numerical EOR reservoir simulation in using of Eclipse100,300, and INTERSECT in particular, history matching and field development.
  5. Experienced in the following:
    • Fluid property modelling PVTi.
    • Material balance MBAL.
    • Well test interpretation Saphir.
  6. Significant experience working on mature oil fields under water flood.
  7. Strong background in EOR aspects of reservoir surveillance and optimization.
  8. Strong experience in reservoir fluid sampling, fluid property modelling, routine and special core analysis.
  9. Strong background in well test interpretation, material balance modelling and performance modelling of vertical and horizontal wells.
  10. Experience in reserves evaluation, classification, and booking.
  11. Must have strong teamwork skills, and it would be an advantage to have experience working in a multicultural environment.
  12. Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, less experienced staff, field staff, and management.
  13. Must have experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
  14. Must have experience/knowledge of current computer software for reservoir engineering applications.
  15. B.Sc. is required in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering.

Preferable experience and expertise:

  1. Desirable to have experience in applying reservoir knowledge and skills to assess field compartmentalization issues and problems.
  2. Desirable to have knowledge of geostatistics, integrated reservoir characterization, fault and fracture studies as well as risk assessment/management.
  3. Desirable to have experience in static reservoir modelling and description.
  4. Desirable to have experience working on established EOR reservoir simulator in the market like CMG
  5. Experience in working with CLIENT standard reservoir engineering software.
