About the job Document Controller

Position Brief

The Document Controller is responsible to ensure that all incoming and outgoing documents are controlled and provide a wide range of document control support services to the assigned Section/ Team/ Office.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Receive, check, record and file all technical and non-technical documents as per company policy and procedures and keep under safe custody

Coordinate with the team to ensure that documents are kept in the right place and in the right department file archive

Ensure all incoming and outgoing documents are controlled, disseminated, and filed correctly

Ensure that the units documents are checked and submitted on time prior to their submission due date

Input document data into required registers ensuring that the information is accurate and up to date

Record clearly on document register to whom they have been issued, date and distribute as appropriate

Provide document control reports as requested, review progress and point out errors and/or delays or issues to relevant parties

Liaise with subject matter experts on technical subjects in a positive, collaborative manner to prepare controlled documents

Scan, photocopy documents as required

Perform other duties/ tasks as required

Qualification:

Diploma or equivalent in relevant Subject

Holder of Accreditation from known Institute would be an advantage

Holder of current/valid Qatar Driving License would be an advantage

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in a similar position

Knowledge and experience of relevant software applications including spreadsheets and database management

Knowledge of business principles

Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other Arabic and English language skills

Proven experience of producing correspondence and documents

Proven experience in information and communication management

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is essential

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic is preferred
