Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance engineers undertake scheduled and breakdown maintenance of engineering equipment..

Duties Roles and Responsibilities

1. planning and carrying out scheduled maintenance.
2. responding to emergencies.
3. diagnosing faults.
4. repairing equipment and testing repairs.
5. supervising contractors, and engineering and technical staff.
6. ordering specialist components, fixtures or fittings.
7. creating maintenance procedures.
8. managing stocks of supplies and equipment.
9. keeping records of faults and repairs.   

Educational Qualifications

University bachelors degree in engineering /Science or equivalent technical qualification in relevant discipline.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems. Ability to read system schematics. Advanced troubleshooting skills. Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.

Experience
5-10 years experience in similar capacity
The applicant should have strong knowledge of port regulations.
