Job Description:

  1. A production data management specialist responsible for managing and maintaining Production Data Management System (PDMS), review KPIs & scorecards for management reporting, generate field target, provide PDMS (AVM) user supports within and intra departmental and acting as PDMS focal point.
  2. Requirement is for a G&G Subsurface Data Management Specialist with multidisciplinary knowledge and experience of industry leading products including Landmark and Schlumberger suite of software & applications to align with CLIENT corporate end use (Schlumberger) and data store (Landmark) requirements.

CLIENT uses a number of Geophysical, Geological and Petroleum Engineering applications in carrying out its activities including the Landmark & SLB Suite and the position in subject require to manage the data within and across teams for Petroleum Engineer, Reservoir Engineer, and G&G users community.

Required qualifications, experience and expertise:

Within the position the successful candidate will be required to competently perform the following tasks:

For production data management specialist:

  1. Responsible of yearly QA/QCed OFM database and consolidate for prod/inj, reservoir pressure, welltest validations for annual ARR/PRMS input.
  2. Provide technical support to Dukhan FAAR reporting, especially in Dukhan PDMS update section and provide yearly prod/inj data by wells/reservoir/field to all users involved in FAAR report documentation.
  3. Update PDMS back allocation network and ensure evergreen for Dukhan Oil, GL, PWI, AD GCR system (Condensate, NGL)
  4. Update/create all type curves of theoretical production correlation/method based on latest welltest (choke correlation curve, FTHP/FTHT or update existing curve) and load daily data bean sheet (BS) for Oil, PWI, & AD GCR system DT and ensure all data loaded and complete.
  5. Perform daily/monthly back allocation for Oil, GL, PWI & AD GCR systems, review the RF and product back allocation output are complete & conduct QA/QC with Peers (PEs & Res).
  6. Ensure all daily data flow completely entered to PDMS for OP, PWI, AD GCR & Khuff gas system. Log any remarks & communicate with field users in case data is not flowing/having issues. Escalate to ITI/3 team in case there is network/communication/license issues to get resolution
  7. Ensure Dukhan field PDMS data completeness & correctness are disseminated to OFM, WIMS, ArcGIS, UDMS (upstream data management system)
  8. Ensure IPMS updated (from all relevant PEs) for auto well test validation is up & running, check well test validation results and communicate to sector engineer for uploading new well model for new online OP well
  9. Support PDMS users (Dukhan field & Doha) for debugging on any cases of daily data loader error or failed to load into PDMS
  10. Ensure all dynamic data being QCed & disseminated completely to Dukhan OFM database and maintain Dukhan OFM project & database evergreen, upload G&G data, BHIP coefficient analysis, Well WHT curve coefficient, Well temperature envelope (min-Max), etc.
  11. Update new OFM analysis templates in DK_MAIN.OFM project (OFM report, plot, or analysis charts), create new calculated variable, update calculated variable, create new filter category, etc. to to provide technical support to UN engineers and geoscientist.
  12. Provide support to OFM plugin Water Analysis Workflow & ensure WOAR table updated periodically. This inclusive of supporting any OFM plugins for wells and reservoir performance tracking and analysist.
  13. Support to UN OFM users & assist in citrix OFM login in case unable to login persisted.
  14. Ensure daily Dukhan summary report completed, commented/logged with plan/unplan events, and distributed to UN & OMD users from PDMS
  15. Accountable to ensure correct data mapping form Dukhan SCADA TAGs to IOF- PDMS database.
  16. Ensure all OMD monthly reports received and completely update it into PDMS for CEO dashboard & monthly UN highlight.
  17. Support all other Scorecards/KPI (Surveillance, Voidage Tracking, Welltest, DT & Deferment, etc ) generation. Ensure all calculation processes are running to generate scorecards.
  18. Responsible of quarterly OAR for Oil & PWI target compilation, monthly OAR target review and support the collaboration with OOP(D).
  19. Responsible on OAR targets loaded into PDMS (Oil, PWI, & Gas well) for compliance, tracking and monitoring. As well Update OAR target in PDMS as per sector engineer or reservoir engineer request whenever required.
  20. Provide support to Dukhan well integrity team regarding with PDMS database/tables/views/data connection to WIMS (Well Integrity Management System)
  21. Provide data and table specifications in UDMS project deployment (UIX team) and provide UIX team some analysis templates (plot/reports) and its requirement. Participate in UDMS UAT for Dukhan field.
  22. Ensure well status and well master file is up to date in ArcGIS system. Provide clarification and support in case data is stop/unable to view the latest data from PDMS.
  23. Create new avocet report in Dukhan Avocet reporting portal (SQL Server Reporting Services/SSRS) as required by users.
  24. Maintain SSRS Avocet report user access up to date, revoke old users, add new users, update user privilege, etc
  25. Support avocet report templates for regular T5 operation excellence meeting. Create new report or update existing report as required by T5 members.
  26. Generate quarterly Downtime & Deferment scorecard, generate field plots for surveillance presentation & report.
  27. Maintain liaison with ITI on approval processes & maintenance contract, PDMS (AVM) user license adequacy & user privilege. This include maintaining data flows & PDMS processes running and ensure integrity, connectivity and live link are working between PDMS & IPMS / OFM / WIMS / ArcGIS / UDMS
  28. Create new completion, wellbore, gas meter, liquid meter, station/battery, and any new equipments installed in Dukhan field.
  29. Load new SCADA tags for commissioned wells and ensure all SCADA data are loaded & completed. Update tags in case well change its status (OP to PWI, etc), or P&A wells. Responsible to ensure completion of SCADA tags migrated into PDMS and tag changes are correctly mapped for all production fluid (Oil, GL, Water injection, AD GCR and Khuff system). This requires a good liaison with operation teams.
  30. Manage routine welltest validation processes by scrutinizing welltest validation records completeness, upload to PDMS and transfer/update OFM Well Test tables.
  31. Maintain SSRS Avocet reports are all working and update SSRS existing avocet report in case require adjustments/add calculation/revise filter criteria.
  32. Ensure SSRS Avocet report auto email generation working and distributed to all designated users.
  33. Responsible in generating & compile UN management weekly reports & slides.
  34. Responsible in generating periodic dynamic Scorecards/KPI for Oil & GL, PWI/PWRI, UN monthly production/injection highlights and in generating & compile UN management weekly reports & slides.
  35. Provide support to IOF team to ensure required data (OAR, daily well status, OFM master table) completely updated and viewed at IOF solution front end and participate in IOF dashboard discussion and provide feedback as necessary.
  36. Provide to IOF team the list of equipment (Oil, Gas, Water meter) used in back allocation, back allocation network & back allocation results (daily/monthly).
  37. Focal Point for PDMS - task inclusive capture new PDMS requirements, initiate PID and seeking approval, budgeting, workflows development, design execution/configuration and deployment. This including training to users and project documented.

For G&G data management specialist:

  1. Act as a focal point and provide technical & data management assistance to the G&G users community.
  2. Expert in undertaking Data Management activities involving Landmarks OpenWorks Database management and maintenance.
  3. Expert in undertaking Seismic Data Management activities which involves data clean-up, data mining from various sources, identifying duplications, data
  4. cleansing, 2D/3D Navigation & Seismic data loading, Data rectification, manipulation of navigation and trace data and loading into OpenWorks & Petrel.
  5. Well Data Management (Well headers, deviation, markers, log curves etc.) gathering, analyzing and loading of Well data types into OpenWorks/Petrel.
  6. Perform high standards of quality control checks for all G&G data types including pre & post data loading into applications & software.
  7. Standardize naming conventions for Seismic, Horizons, Faults, Tops, Wells etc. in OpenWorks database and making sure the nomenclature is synchronized in other G&G applications.
  8. G&G data import and export from Landmark to Schlumberger applications and vice versa.
  9. Improve Data Management standards and procedures with new & innovative workflows.
  10. Advance knowledge of Petrel data management and transfer between Reference & Working projects.
  11. Intelligent in finding workarounds to rectify data related issues.
  12. Create detailed workflow / reports (incl. CRS info, data format for all data types) for all areas
  13. Organize electronic & physical data as per CLIENT standard.
  14. Share best practices and knowledge sharing with UI staff.
  15. Help establish a database environment and system for all current and future UI activities.
  16. Liaise with internal stakeholders to accomplish tasks IT and UXI
  17. Provide application support for Landmark and Petrel applications as required.

To enable this the successful candidate should possess excellent product knowledge and familiarity with the use of the software. Complete and expert in sight of Data lifecycle and data management procedures is highly desirable.

Candidate must work closely with the business therefore an in-depth knowledge of the Production and Geoscience discipline is required. The candidate should have specific knowledge and be able to competently support users of the following applications:

For production data management specialist:

  1. Extensive experience in Oracle RDBMS & Microsoft SQL database
  2. Good hands on of Matrikon and/or PI OSI-soft scada data historian.
  3. Expert in working with PL/SQL, HTML/XML programming language, other language like Visual ++, or Python may be required.
  4. Good knowledge of production database data model.
  5. Extensive experience t in performing DDL, DML, DTL for database operation tasks: data mining, data crawling, data export/import, data QA/QC and data reformatting.
  6. Extensive experience in working with SLB Avocet Volume Manager (AVM) PDMS
  7. Extensive experience in working with SLB OFM well & reservoir analysis tool
  8. Extensive experience in working with business analytical tools such Microsoft SSRS, PowerBI
  9. Must have expertise working with Microsoft 360 packages (Word, Excel, PPT, outlook)
  10. Having experience working with ESRI ArcGIS, WIMS (well integrity management system), SLB E-search, LIMS (laboratory information management system), IPM Prosper, Emeraude & Kappa Server
  11. Good understanding in Geology, Reservoir, Well, Production Operation. Those include such knowledge of production geology, concept & process, inflow & outflow performance, reservoir management (VRR), DCA/forecasting, EOR, integrated production facilities and operation, well operation, well testing, gas lifting, rig less operation, etc.
  12. Extensive experience in back allocation concept, network diagram, component, data input category, and well rate estimate types
  13. Experience in Project Management: essential communication, time management, organization structure/awareness, problem solving, and leadership.
  14. Must have soft skill abilities such as fast & self-learner, self-confidence, able to work with multi-national culture & team, teamwork player.
  15. Always looking to learn new skills, take on extra responsibilities, and grow professionally.
  16. Have worked in busy & pressurized environments where high standards are expected.

For G&G data management specialist:

  1. Enterprise Subsurface software (e.g. Landmark: OpenWorks, SeisWorks, Petrel)
  2. Geographic Information System (e.g. ArcGIS, Petroview)
  3. Petrophysical software (e.g. Techlog, Geolog)
  4. Data Management and transfer software (e.g. OpenSpirit)
  5. Expert in Linux/Unix, scripting would be an advantage
  6. Expert in MS office applications, Adobe, and other windows based software.
  7. Deep knowledge of the seismic and wells domains.
  8. Proven working knowledge of Petrel and preferably Studio
  9. Experience managing data and information throughout its lifecycle (loading, managing, export, transfer, data quality, rationalization etc.)
  10. Experience in data manipulation
  11. A self-starter with the ability to solve technical problems
  12. The ability to prioritize workloads and work to strict deadlines
  13. Proven ability to share information and lesson learned
  14. The ability to work alone, as part of a small team or as part of a longer term managed service.
  15. Experience applying knowledge and experience globally, in multiple Oil & Gas industry regions.

  17. Must have experience/knowledge of current computer software for production engineering applications.

Educational Qualification:

B.Sc. is required in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering for Production Data Management Specialist, and Geology or Geophysics for G & G.
