Qualifications
Formal Engineering Degree preferably in Chemical engineering, Petrochemical Engineering or equivalent field.
Knowledge and/or Experience
Hands on experience in process simulation software i.e. steady state and dynamic simulation.
Knowledge of control Systems like Foxboro, Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion, TRICONEX and CCC control systems
Minimum 10 years of working experience in process modelling and OTS using Unisim Operation, Unisim Design, Dynsim, FSIM/SCP and TRISIM.
Should have hands-on experience of following processes: Gas processing, Refinery, Offsite, Utilities.
Key Job Accountabilities
1. Perform software maintenance of all simulator models by
- Troubleshooting and fixing simulator issues during simulator training.
- Performing periodic system backup and hardware and software health check.
- Liaising with Centre of Expertise and Maintenance team to address hardware/software failures in simulator models.
- Manage antivirus updates.
2. Design and implement new simulator troubleshooting training scenarios in coordination with Operation team and Instructors.
3. Manage implementation of management of change in training simulator models
4. Contribute with following activities during new Operator Training Simulator Project by liaising with Engineering, Ventures and/or PMT team
- Provide expertise in performing preliminary analysis and design for all Operator Training Simulator projects.
- Assist to develop and review Statement of work (SOW) or work scope for new simulator models.
- Address vendors technical clarification during project bidding phase.
- Define detailed Operator Training Simulator Technical requirement during project kick-off meeting with Vendor.
- Review and approve training simulator deliverables by participating in system acceptance test viz. Model Acceptance/Validation Test, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test and project documents.
5. Liaise with Centre of Expertise and Maintenance team to manage simulator spares.
6. Liaise with Obsolescence Management team to manage simulator hardware/software obsolescence.
7. Develop a broad understanding of the key techniques and applications across all installed Training Simulators.
8. Provide simulation technical information and expertise to other disciplines, engineering and non-engineering, as per requirements.
