Job Description Highlights:

  • The position is responsible and accountable for all Logistics activities pertaining to the scope of NFXP Onshore from movement of materials and equipment to directing preparation of transport and logistics policies, procedures, and manuals to ensure that activities in support of project operations are consistent and in-line with QG and RLIC logistics policies.
  • The position shall interact daily with Divisional Managers and Procurement personnel (EPC-1, EPC-2, EPC-3, EPC-4 and counterparts from the EPC Contractors Procurement and Logistics departments.
  • The position includes a close coordination and interaction with Port Authorities at Ras Laffan Port, Hamad Marine Port, Mesaieed Marine Port, Hamad International Airport, Road Transport Authorities and GDIS Security.
  • The position includes a close coordination and interaction with the NFXP Onshore Project Head of Planning and Planning and Schedule Specialist(s) to keep control on the schedule and key Project and Progress Milestones.
  • Responsible for supporting the EPC Contractors in logistic movements onshore within Ras Laffan City for personnel and material movements and logistics required to support construction camp operations.
  • Ensure that All EPCs are having the required laydown areas for arrival of equipments. Support with abnormal loads requiring RLIC circulars, escorts when required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years in Project Execution, with a strong background in Logistics, Transportation, Procurement, and management of large Logistics activities.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the techniques of identifying, analysing, and resolving transportation and logistics problems.
  • Knowledge or experience in planning work particularly related to project activities of suppliers and sub-contractors, and shipping companies.
  • Demonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels, in particular when at Site.
  • Experience with major and first tier EPC Contractors, Sub-contractors and Vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.
  • Demonstrate ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience with large complex projects
  • Interfacing with other projects for materials coordination into RLIC Port.
