About the job Safety Agent
- PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To follow and carry out day to day tasks related to monitoring safety in the plant which includes conducting regular checks to ensure safe working conditions, adherence to working practices for all work activities, checking test safety equipment etc., to ensure that CLEINTS safety regulation procedures are adhered to at all times.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Inspection and Monitoring
- Follow and conduct safety checks in CLEINT to verify that all plant personnel apply safety rules and regulations and wear the correct PPEs and highlight any unsafe act and condition with immediate corrective actions and infractions to ensure that overall safety of assets & personnel within CLEINT premises.
- Conduct measurement & inspections as required by PTW or work conditions for workplace to confirm the nature of work and safety conditions before starting the work and ensure it is safe for work.
- Participate in hazard identification, risk analysis. Inspection and audit activities as assigned to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Participate in emergency response activities as assigned or required, including exercise and drills organization preparation and execution.
- Supervise the implementation of work permits such as hot work permits, confined space entry permits, electrical isolation permits, excavation permits and access permits for vehicles, crane work permit etc. and participate in toolbox talks prior to commencement of work to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Ensure proper measures are taken prior to commencement of work such as equipment or plant isolation, shutdowns, and that necessary tests are taken such as, gas tests to ensure all work areas are safe for required work.
- Ensure safety precautions are taken in case of downgraded situation to prevent incidents.
- Monitor the availability of safety equipment and follow up to replace defective or worn clothing and equipment by recommending supply as necessary and ensure that adequate stocks of safety and emergency, equipment and protective clothing are always available.
- Follow up on all work related to QVC equipments inside CLEINT and ensure adherence to safety measures during loading/forwarding at jetty to and from the cargo ship.
- Supervise the implementation of work related to new project on site to ensure compliance with the Company's safety standards and requirements.
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet and department requirements, policies, and standards.
- Ensure all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.

QUALIFICATINS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of High School Certificate:
- Professional qualification in NEBOSH IGC (Level -3) is mandatory or equivalent
- Authorized gas tester.
- Scaffolding supervision training.
- Lifting and rigging awareness.
- H2S and confined space. ( H2S/BA).
- Fire watch. Medical :
- Must be physically fit.
- 5 years experience in an oil, gas, or petrochemical processing plant
Minimum Experience:

- Good communication skills
