Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma equivalent from a recognized university.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in maintenance/ turnaround preferably in Middle East/Gulf.
- Proficiency in English Language (Speak, Read and Write)
- Proficiency in SAP (PM/MM) & understanding of Primavera is preferred
Minimum Work Experience
- Minimum 20+ years work experience in refinery or petrochemical Oil and Gas plant with a minimum of 15+ years in maintenance/ turnaround section with at least 10 years as field team leader/ superintendent or above
- Must have experience in Turnaround planning and preparations activities. Must have led/ executed at least 5 Turnaround/ Major shutdowns
- Good understanding on safety requirements, standards, procedures and applying safe work practices during job planning and execution.
- Strong technical knowledge in Static and Rotating equipments. Should have hands-on experience in maintenance jobs/ revamping related to Exchangers, Columns, Furnace, Tanks, Vessels, Compressor, Steam Turbines, Pumps, Valves & Pipings etc.
- Rich experience and knowledge of codes, standards, specifications, drawings and maintenance practices including fabrication / rigging
- Strong co-ordination, interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Thorough knowledge in material specifications/ standard
- Experience in managing multiple / large number of contractor/ manpower and OEMs/ Vendor
Job Requirements (but not limited to)
- Provides the leadership and promotes the concept of proactive safety and takes personal responsibility to set, communicate and cascade the overall goal of zero incidents for the Turnaround.
- Provide leadership for overall planning, preparation, safe execution and closeout of Turnaround.
- Support the planning team in achieving milestones and deliverables through active engagement with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinates with various stake holders/ departments in all activities related to TA planning, Facility setup, Pre-TA activities coordination etc.
- Support timely preparation, evaluation and finalization of TA and project lists and coordinate and support for job pack preparation.
- Support and manage external contractors on all TA related activities. Ensure TA Main Contract and all necessary services are arranged in coordination with required stakeholders to assure scheduled execution of TA scope. Also coordinate in development of mobilization plan of Main contractor, services, specialized manpower and other TA contractors.
- Coordinate in identification, procurement, technical evaluation/ clarification, timely receipt and inspection of all spares and materials
- Ensure preparation and finalization of Integrated TA Schedule with the involvement of required stakeholders.
- Conduct detailed field visits for Turnaround jobs and identify simultaneous operations, conflicts and highlights the same to Maintenance/ TA Planning team
- Provide strong leadership for execution and provide support for on-site resolution of safety, maintenance, QA/QC and contractor issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high quality products/services.
- Involve and support in lessons learned, risk assessments, audits and workshops and follow up the completion of action items.
- Support in improvement activities on overall TA process.
- Coordinate and support in tracking/ reporting of turnaround metrics and KPIs. Also involve in preparation of necessary reports in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet the departmental and stakeholder requirements, policies and standards.
- Close liaison with the TA Team, Projects, Engineering, Technical, Maintenance & Operations group, OEM and contractors.
- Capable of handling discovery work during execution. Identify and provide solution and support in execution of the same in line with planned schedule
- Coordinate and conduct meeting with maintenance group, equipment reliability group, operations group and record minutes of meeting and follow-up action items.
- Able to identify the risk involved in each job, plan mitigation and co-ordinate Job safety analysis (JSA).
- Participate to support micro audits / safety walk downs conducted by different entities and individuals
- Ability to read complex Drawings, understand Specifications and contract documentations.
- Proven ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
- Manages priorities brought forward by the Turnaround Superintendent and TA Manager.
