About the job Simulator Engineer (OES)
Key Job Accountabilities
1. Performs software maintenance of all simulator models by
a. Troubleshooting and fixing simulator issues during simulator training.
b. Performing periodic system backup and hardware and software health check.
c. Liaising with Centre of Expertise and Maintenance team to address hardware/software failures in simulator models.
d. Manage antivirus updates.
2. Designs and implements new simulator troubleshooting training scenarios in coordination with Operation team and Instructors.
3. Manages implementation of management of change in training simulator models
4. Contributes with following activities during new Operator Training Simulator Project by liaising with Engineering, Ventures and/or PMT team
a. Provides expertise in performing preliminary analysis and design for all Operator Training Simulator projects.
b. Assists to develop and review Statement of work (SOW) or work scope for new simulator models.
c. Addresses vendors technical clarification during project bidding phase.
d. Defines detailed Operator Training Simulator Technical requirement during project kick-off meeting with Vendor.
e. Reviews and approves training simulator deliverables by participating in system acceptance test viz. Model Acceptance/Validation Test, Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test and project documents.
5. Liaises with Centre of Expertise and Maintenance team to manage simulator spares.
6. Liaises with Obsolescence Management team to manage simulator hardware/software obsolescence.
7. Develops a broad understanding of the key techniques and applications across all installed Training Simulators in Client location.
8. Provides simulation technical information and expertise to other disciplines, engineering and non-engineering, as per requirements.
