Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations, or similar relevant field.

Knowledge and/or Experience

  • 5-10 years experience with 5 years of previous working experience in the communication and / or Public Relations field with a proven track record of successful communications management preferably in project management and / or experience with Corporate level activites. Broad knowledge in project management and safety along with general project leadership experience in administration and coordination.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the development and recommendation of project communication strategies to enable internal and external communications on project status and achievements. Continuous review of project status while staying current on industry trends, EPC Contractors and Subcontractors status and worldwide events to provide guidance to the Head of Project Engineering and the NFXP Onshore Project Leadership Team on key public relations topics or events.
  • Works with the NFXP Onshore Head of Project Engineering to evaluate communications strategies and develops recommendations for the NFXP Onshore Project to take forward to Major Projects for consideration based on trends, acheivements and issues within the NFXP Onshore Project.
  • Reviews and evaluates existing project procedures related to internal and/or external communications and recommends revisions or develops new procedures to address deviations from existing plans or procedures.
  • Establishes and manages the communication protocols between the NFXP Onshore Project and various internal and external interfaces with guidance from the Head of Project Engineering and the Senior Project Manager.
  • Develops presentations, writes content for QatarEnergy LNG intranet website, reviews press releases and media inquiries from Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Vendors for approval via existing protocol, drafts memos to support the Leadership Team in the communication of messages across the NFXP Onshore Project, upline with Senior Management and with the Project Shareholders and Stakeholders.
  • Plans, organizes, and supports key NFXP Onshore events in collaboration with internal and external interfaces (e.g. VIP / Shareholder site visits, Annual and Bi-Annual Safety Summits, Major Projects Events)
  • Develops and keeps a repository of standard project information with description of all facilities, key project facts as well as narratives for use in internal and external project communications to support events such as VIP site visits, special events organized by other departments that require information input from NFXP Onshore.
  • Supports NFXP Onshore Leadership Team in the development and delivery of teambuilding to enable a positive environment within the Project Management Team as part of the NFXP Onshore Project Vision, Mission and Values.
  • Identifies and coordinates activities for team alignment, development and project culture surveys to promote project team comradery and effectiveness. Engages with third party consultants and/or EPC Contractors to support these activities when necessary.
