Job Description:

Provide Petroleum Engineering support for CLIENToil fields. This includes all aspects of drilling, well completion, and workover activities from job design to on-site implementation. Conduct well surveillance, including performance modelling and interpretation. Conduct reservoir management activities. Participate in interdisciplinary reservoir study teams. Develop and mentor less experienced staff.

As and when required by CLIENT and to support international opportunities, the Snr. PE should provide petroleum engineering support and provide due diligence advice needed in evaluating new opportunities. Review and coordination of all petroleum engineering activities of non-operated assets and providing relevant recommendation

Required qualifications, experience and expertise:

  1. Minimum fifteen (15) years of work experience as a petroleum engineer in the oil and gas industry with demonstrated surveillance/production engineering expertise in optimizing well production in large oil and gas fields.
  2. Proven experience at recommending remedial well work solutions for horizontal wells in heterogeneous oil reservoirs with variable geo-layer parameters: porosity, permeability, water saturation, thickness, etc.
  3. Experience with well testing, analysis, reservoir monitoring and allocation of well test/production data.
  4. Experience with tubing & IPR modelling and Gas Lift design/troubleshooting.
  5. Experience with interpretation of cased hole production and diagnostic logs.
  6. Must have strong teamwork skills, and it would be an advantage to have experience working in a multicultural environment.
  7. Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, less experienced staff, field staff, and management.

Must have experience mentoring less experienced engineers.

  1. Working experience in deep water reservoirs
  1. Must have experience/knowledge of current computer software for production engineering applications.
  2. B.S. degree is required in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
    1. Experience in working in mature producing fields where finding, assimilating, and integrating data from incomplete files and variable sources can be challenging.
    2. Experience in working the following standard petroleum engineering software:
      • Well and Reservoir Analysis Software: OFM.
      • - Well Inflow Performance Modelling Software: PROSPER.
      • General Allocation and Production Network Software: GAP.
      • Advanced PC skills; Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
