Audio Engineer

1. Role Objective

The purpose of this position is to assemble, operate and maintain the technical equipment used to record, amplify, mix or reproduce sound.

Duties Roles and Responsibilities

1. Working closely with Studio Production team and ensuring the appropriate actions to produce the sound Responsible to assess the acoustics of the performance area and assembling and operating the necessary equipment
2. Consulting with producers and performers to determine the sound requirements
3. Responsible for selecting, positioning, adjusting and operating the equipment used for amplification and recording
4. Applying technical knowledge of sound recording equipment to achieve determined artistic objectives Recording sound onto digital audio tape or hard disk recorders;
5. Accountable for monitoring audio signals to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions;
6. Anticipating and correcting any problems;
7. Maintaining and repairing sound equipment.
8. Integrating (synchronisation) of pre-recorded audio (dialogue, sound effects and music) with visual content
9. Re-recording and synchronising audio (post-synching);
10. Mixing and balancing speech, effects and music
11. Creating and altering sound effects for use in films, television, etc.
12. Responsible to perform under pressure in a Live news environment
13. Ability to lead the team include freelancers
14. Ability to rig and adjust sounds on locations and within the studio

Educational Qualifications

Bachelors degree in design or any similar related/equivalent field.

Experience

More than 3 years experience in relevant field.
