Qualifications

BSc. in SHES or related disciplines

Knowledge and/or Experience

  • 15+ years of experience as a SHES professional including 5+ years in a second line management position
  • Recent (within the last five years) experience of SHES management on major projects FEED and EPC phases

Key Accountabilities

(Duties include but not limited to)

  • Support Safety Leadership Programs: Provide guidance and resources to Projects SHES managers to enhance safety leadership and implement effective safety programs.
  • Maintain SHES Interfaces and Relationships: Foster and maintain effective working relationships with PMT SHES, corporate SHES MP section, and other functional SHES teams to ensure cohesive SHES management.
  • Serve as MP Focal Point: Act as the main contact for corporate SHESQ matters, ensuring alignment and communication between MP and corporate SHESQ sections.
  • Support and Act for SHES and Risk Manager: Assist the MP SHES and Risk Manager in his duties and act on his behalf during his absence to ensure continuity in SHES management.
  • Monitor and Improve SHES Performance: Conduct audits, surveillance programs, and reviews to monitor SHES performance, and propose improvements based on performance indicators and assurance activities.
  • Consolidate and Report SHES Performance: Responsible for the comprehensive reporting of MP SHES performance on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis, including reporting to corporate SHES committees and major project safety meetings.
  • Develop and Implement Lessons Learned Systems: Create and implement systems for capturing and applying lessons learned and best practices across all MP projects to enhance overall SHES performance.
  • Plan and Execute Safety Culture Initiatives: Develop and execute SHES and safety culture initiatives to ensure a safe working environment and promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
