Position Brief

The Senior Business Process Specialist is responsible for providing technical, analytical and reporting support to Section for improving the understanding and awareness of business performance to facilitate better decision making

Functional Responsibilities

  • Transform work activity, policy, procedure and requirements into corporate business processes for performing BAU.
  • Propose Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in consultation with SME's to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of BAU process.
  • Develops business process maps in IBM Blueworks Live in conjunction with other supporting documentation and artifacts as they pertain to enterprise level processes spanning multiple projects and/or functional areas.
  • Establish baseline performance measures in consultation with SMEs against which future performance improvements can be proposed.
  • Prepare relevant business data and information using agreed processes, procedures and systems
  • Use agreed data collection tools for data analysis and management reporting
  • Ensure relevant data sets are complete, accurate and all information is input in time to allow accurate regular reporting in conjunction with SMEs
  • Review collated business information to identify trends, anomalies and respond to ad-hoc queries for information
  • Ensure data integrity is maintained and information is best used to improve business performance with a wide range of individuals, t eams, Sections, Departments and Affairs
  • Provide data and reporting solutions to operational and business issues
  • Suggest root causes to relevant operational/business issues (where experience allows) based on the information analyzed
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures within the workplace and comply with new work instructions
  • Carry out Business Process Management audit to evaluate process compliance.
  • Perform other duties/tasks as required

Qualification:

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Engineering/ Relevant Subject
  • Education qualification obtained from North America, West Europe, Australia
  • Chartered Membership in relevant professional body would be an advantage
  • Current/valid Qatar Driving License would be an advantage

Experience:

  • Minimum 12 years of cumulative experience in a relevant field
  • Technical knowledge of business process mapping techniques and transforming to different perspective
  • Knowledge of business process mapping in water and wastewater industry
  • Experience of process analysis, process modelling (BPMN, Blue works live etc.)

  • Competency in process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to produce Executives reports is compulsory
  • Strong communication, organisational, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Strong Stakeholder management skills ideally including work within the Middle East.
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders and staff at all levels within the Organisation
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is mandatory.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic will be an advantage
