Job Title: Technician - Mechanic
Contract Duration: 3 months
Purpose: Ability to repair the buses onsite and in workshop
Accountabilities
Should be finding and identifying faults, Perform routine servicing schedules.
Carry out work as per manufacturer recommended methods, use torque wrench and proper tools for each job. Ensure that calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate.
Inspect brake systems, steering mechanism, wheel bearings, look for aged hoses and drive belts and coolant and oil leaks, carry out appropriate repairs to ensure that the vehicle is fit for operation until next schedule.
Must adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel, brake, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling, using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment.
Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.
Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications.
To work successfully in this field, mechanics and technicians must have good physical strength, the willingness to continually learn over their career and good interpersonal skills.
Must examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes. Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors.
Able to read and understand repair manuals and diagrams to fix the troubles.
Education
High school diploma, ITI or the equivalent.

5 years experience in repair and maintenance of modern vehicle
