Qualifications
Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline.
Knowledge and/or Experience
8 years experience within Oil & Gas industry, to include
3 years of experience in documentation authoring.
Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering change management processes for procedures and technical document management.
Key Job Accountabilities
1. Revalidate Onshore Operations, Manufacturing, Terminal, Offshore, Refinery, and Maintenance procedures and Standing Instructions to ensure availability of accurate, detailed step-by-step
procedures and instructions, thereby enabling safe and efficient operations and maintenance of Company facilities.
2. Validate Operations and Maintenance procedure assessment packages in accordance with established Company competency-assurance standards.
3. Ensure appropriate review and input are provided for concise and accurate technical and safety related documentation that reflects industry best practices and Company lessons learned, to ensure LNG plants, gas-treatment plants, ship-loading applications, and Port activities reflect as is and as-built information and instructions.
4. Identify areas of needed improvement to meet Operations that are fit-for-purpose to support business risks and emerging needs while ensuring that technical changes are reflected in all plant documentation, and that related required competency assessments are updated for concerned personnel.
5. Support in identifying operational areas that require change or alterations of a technical nature to meet varying operating conditions and to develop procedural solutions for implementation by all Operations Group facilities. Administer the Procedures Review process to ensure that all Operations
documentation reviews are being processed through the Document Management Tool to effectively capture any document changes coming from procedure reviews by concerned stakeholders in a timely manner.
6. Ensure the accurate mapping of metadata related to Operations documents.
7. Coordinate with the CLIENT (QGMS) team for proper maintenance
of standardized documentation layout and the Operations Group Policy & Procedures (P&P) portal.
8. Work closely with the Engineering Group documentation section to ensure that changes to all PI&Ds are properly captured and reflected within simplified drawings.
9. Provide guidance and clarification to the workforce in supporting and maintaining the procedures lifecycle.
10. Set objectives for annual documentation development planning for the division while providing expert knowledge to solve complex issues encountered by the technical writing team.
